Emergency numbers in Da Lat: who to call and what actually works
115 ambulance · 113 police · 114 fire · 112 search and rescue · 111 child protection. Save them now, before you need them — and read the next paragraph, because in Da Lat the number you dial is rarely the fastest way to get help.
Save this number: 0263 3533 115 The emergency line of Hoan My Da Lat Hospital, around the clock. Main line 0263 3577 633. For anything short of a life-threatening emergency, a Grab to Hoan My is usually faster and more reliable than waiting for an ambulance.
State lines
Every one of these is operated in Vietnamese only — there is no English operator. If you are calling yourself and have no Vietnamese, get a local to help: your landlord, a security guard, a neighbour.

What it costs: our own case The A&E at Hoan My takes adults and children around the clock. We have been there: a child split his head open, was seen at once, stitched and sent home with medicines — the whole visit was 1.1M₫, about forty-two dollars, medicines included. You pay on the spot, cash or card. There is no separate children's A&E; children are seen in the general one.
Where to go for something serious
Da Lat has no international-standard hospital. The nearest is Vinmec Nha Trang, 137 km and three to four hours away. For planned or complex treatment, Ho Chi Minh City has FV Hospital and Vinmec Central Park, both JCI-accredited, plus Family Medical Practice, which has English, French and Russian speakers and runs medical evacuation.
Insurance and money Treat Da Lat as a pay-and-claim city: as of April 2026 no facility here appeared in the direct-billing networks of the major insurers. Keep enough on the card for a first visit, and call your insurer before, not after.
The service numbers are nationwide. The Hoan My Da Lat phones come from the hospital’s own listing, checked on 8 August 2026. The direct-billing note reflects April 2026 — check with your own insurer before you travel.

Nearest international-standard hospital lưu ý
Vinmec Nha Trang · 137 km, 3–4 h
Da Lat has no international hospital — no FV, no Vinmec, no Family Medical Practice. Vinmec Nha Trang at 137 km is the closest, and materially faster to reach than Saigon.
Cần biết trước. For anything planned or complex, Ho Chi Minh City has FV Hospital and Vinmec Central Park, both JCI-accredited with direct billing, plus Family Medical Practice which has English, French and Russian speakers and runs medevac.

Opened October 2025, part of a 170-clinic national chain. Vaccinations, paediatric consultations, labs and a play area. The newest paediatric option in the city.

Cam Ly, in the alley off Ngo Quyen
A private dermatology practice — something the tropics call for more often than you would think. Fungus between the toes after the rainy season, rashes from bites, sunburn at altitude, inflamed scratches that heal slower up in the mountains: for these you go here rather than to a hospital. They examine the skin under magnification and advise on care and treatment. By ratings it is the most visible skin practice in town: 4.7 across three hundred reviews.
Cần biết trước. Book by phone on 0918 229 157. The listing gives an 8:00 opening and no closing time — ask when you call. The practice sits in a hem, an alley off Ngo Quyen: show the driver the address rather than saying it.

Hoan My Da Lat Hospital nên đi
Long Tho Hill, Mimosa Pass
The largest private general hospital in Da Lat and the realistic first stop for a foreign family. Under one roof: specialist consultations, surgery, obstetrics and paediatrics, with the hospital's own laboratory, CT, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound; part of the Hoan My group, one of the biggest private healthcare networks in the country. Some of the doctors and staff speak English.
The A&E deserves its own note: it runs around the clock and takes adults and children. We tested it ourselves — a child split his head open, was seen at once, stitched and sent home with medicines; the whole visit came to 1.1M₫, about forty-two dollars, medicines included. There is no separate children's A&E; children are seen in the general one.

The emergency line is 0263 3533 115 — save it now; it is the A&E number, not the hospital switchboard, which is 0263 3577 633. In A&E you pay on the spot, cash or card; ask for the receipt and the report in English, your insurer will need them. The hospital stands on Long Tho Hill by the Mimosa Pass, on the way out of town towards the coast — about 4 km from the centre, and a taxi at night is worth the money.
Cẩn thận. Documents are one thing, direct billing another: treat Da Lat as a pay-and-claim city. No facility here appears in the April 2026 direct-billing networks of the major insurers — call your insurer and the hospital before you count on being billed directly.
Cam Ly · 07:00–18:00
A large private outpatient clinic in a new building on Hai Ba Trung — the place you go when the case does not call for a hospital but does need sorting today. Under one roof: internal medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, ENT, dermatology, ophthalmology and dentistry; its own equipment — ultrasound, X-ray, CT, ECG and endoscopy; its own laboratory with quick blood, urine and biochemistry work. Vaccinations are a story of their own: a wide list, imported and local, for children and adults. The main difference from a state hospital is not the equipment but the order of things: appointments, no crowd in the corridor, and 4.9 on the maps — a rarity for medicine in this town.
Cần biết trước. They work every day from 7:00 to 18:00, and appointments are booked on the network's information line. Besides treatment they do the things people come for specially: a full body check-up and official medical certificates for work, for study and for a Vietnamese driving licence, without which the licence is not issued. Some of the doctors and receptionists speak simple English, but do not count on it in every room: anything complicated is better brought written down on paper or in a translator. The network has branches in Duc Trong and Bao Loc; in Da Lat itself there is one building.
Cẩn thận. This is a daytime diagnostic centre, not a hospital: no inpatient ward, no round-the-clock emergency, and everything shuts at six in the evening. A night-time injury, childbirth or a serious case belongs at a hospital.
Le Hong Phong, Xuan Huong · 07:00–11:30, 13:00–16:30
A private medical centre on Le Hong Phong. People come here for tests and diagnostics when the answer is needed the same day. The departments are listed on the sign outside, and for an outpatient centre the range is wide:
- consultations: internal medicine, paediatrics, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry
- specialists: ENT, ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry and maxillofacial
- equipment: X-ray, cardiac tests, EEG, bone density, respiratory function
- an in-house laboratory: biochemistry, immunology, microbiology
What sets it apart from the other private clinics is the insurance. Since 1 July 2025 the centre accepts the Vietnamese health insurance card, and a separate banner in the yard says so.
Cần biết trước. The centre works in two shifts: 7:00 to 11:30 and 13:00 to 16:30. Between the shifts the doctors do not see patients.
Two «Tiếp nhận» desks stand by the entrance — that is the registration point, and numbers are called on the boards above them. The same corridor holds the «Đo sinh hiệu» area, where blood pressure and weight are measured.
Appointments and advice go through the 1900 1042 hotline, the site ykhoapasteurdalat.vn or [email protected]. The yard holds the centre's own pharmacy and a parking area used by both motorbikes and cars. The licence number, 423/SYT-GPHD, is printed on the sign.
Cẩn thận. There are no consultations after half past four. There is an emergency room by the entrance, but whether it works outside consulting hours we did not check: with a night-time case it is safer to go straight to a hospital.
Boards at the entrance advertise screening tests: tumour markers at 50,000₫, and a separate thyroid screening. The small print carries a caveat — the price does not apply at every branch of the network, and the ones named are Lien Nghia and Duc Trong. Ask at the desk before you pay.
We did not record the price of an ordinary consultation.
