Phuong Nam Medical Centre — consultations, diagnostics and certificates

A large private outpatient clinic in a new building on Hai Ba Trung — the place you go when the case does not call for a hospital but does need sorting today. Under one roof: internal medicine, paediatrics, gynaecology, ENT, dermatology, ophthalmology and dentistry; its own equipment — ultrasound, X-ray, CT, ECG and endoscopy; its own laboratory with quick blood, urine and biochemistry work. Vaccinations are a story of their own: a wide list, imported and local, for children and adults. The main difference from a state hospital is not the equipment but the order of things: appointments, no crowd in the corridor, and 4.9 on the maps — a rarity for medicine in this town.

Cần biết trước. They work every day from 7:00 to 18:00, and appointments are booked on the network's information line. Besides treatment they do the things people come for specially: a full body check-up and official medical certificates for work, for study and for a Vietnamese driving licence, without which the licence is not issued. Some of the doctors and receptionists speak simple English, but do not count on it in every room: anything complicated is better brought written down on paper or in a translator. The network has branches in Duc Trong and Bao Loc; in Da Lat itself there is one building.
