The A&E deserves its own note: it runs around the clock and takes adults and children. We tested it ourselves — a child split his head open, was seen at once, stitched and sent home with medicines; the whole visit came to 1.1M₫, about forty-two dollars, medicines included. There is no separate children's A&E; children are seen in the general one.

The hospital stands on Long Tho Hill by the Mimosa Pass, on the way out of town towards the coast — about 4 km from the centre, and a taxi at night is worth the money.
