Da Lat has no international school. No IB, no Cambridge, no accredited English-medium school of any kind. We would rather tell you now than after you have shipped your furniture.

Worth knowing. Families here use bilingual private kindergartens, then Vietnamese schools, an online curriculum, or they base elsewhere. Da Nang is the best price-to-quality compromise at roughly $8,200–10,000 a year. Nha Trang is the nearest city with any international option, 3–4 hours away. Ho Chi Minh City has the most choice at three to four times the cost.

Ages 18 months to 5 years. The most expensive preschool in Da Lat and the closest thing to an international-style early-years setting.

Ages 12 months to 6 years, bilingual with an international-style curriculum. Solid mid-market option.

Worth knowing. In Da Lat "bilingual" usually means the Vietnamese national curriculum plus English lessons and possibly a part-time foreign teacher — not a foreign curriculum. Ask exactly who teaches what.

Ages 15 months to 5 years, with an explicit Montessori programme rather than the label used loosely. Bilingual.

About 7,000 m² across five zones — ball pit, Lego, climbing and rides. The biggest indoor option in the city and the answer to a rainy afternoon.

Worth knowing. Da Lat water is cold. Wonder Da Lat (111 Nguyen Van Troi) and Phu Dong (2 Tran Nhan Tong) are heated — worth the trip in winter.
