Russian consulates in Vietnam: where to go from Da Lat
Da Lat has no consulate of its own, and among the three Russian offices in the country you do not pick the nearest one — you pick the one whose district you belong to. For Lam Dong that is Ho Chi Minh City, about 300 km away. Da Nang serves the central coast, Hanoi covers the rest. Below are the shared rules; each office has its own page.

What to fill in before you set off
Some papers are prepared not at the counter but in advance, on the ministry portals — without them the appointment is wasted. This is spelled out on the Da Nang booking page; Ho Chi Minh City uses the same services.
- Power of attorney — the form at notary.kdmid.ru, before you book.
- Certified translation — send the translated text to the consulate email in advance.
- Russian visa — the application form at visa.kdmid.ru.
- Passport — the document list is in the consulate’s own section on its site.
Getting there and the day itself
- Ho Chi Minh City is 300 km and 6–8 hours by bus; reception ends at noon, so people travel the evening before.
- Da Nang is over 600 km of mountain road: worth it only if you are on the coast anyway.
- The emergency line is for emergencies, not for questions about booking.
Addresses, phones, email and opening hours come from the consular registry of the Russian MFA (kdmid.ru) and the embassy page in Vietnam, checked on 8 August 2026. Booking runs at hochiminh.kdmid.ru and danang.kdmid.ru. The 20th-of-the-month rule is nowhere in official texts: it is practice, not regulation. Check the hours on the consulate site before you travel — they shift around holidays.
