Russian consulate from Da Lat in 2026: where to go, how to book, what to prepare

Da Lat has no Russian mission of its own. The nearest one is the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, about 300 km away — a night bus or a 6–8 hour ride. Da Nang serves the centre of the country and Lam Dong province is not on its list. Below: addresses, phones, email, opening hours, the booking system and the things to fill in before you leave.

From Da Lat, go to Ho Chi Minh City The Da Nang consular district covers Da Nang, Hue and the provinces of Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen. Lam Dong — and therefore Da Lat — is not on that list: for a passport, a power of attorney or a certificate you go to Ho Chi Minh City.

The 20th of the month In Ho Chi Minh City the slots for the next month open on the 20th of the current one. The rule is not published on the consulate site — people know it from experience, so open the booking system in the morning of the 20th rather than in the evening. If the slots are gone, the next attempt is the 20th of the following month.

What to fill in before you set off

Some papers are prepared not at the counter but in advance, on the ministry portals — without them the appointment is wasted. This is spelled out on the Da Nang booking page; Ho Chi Minh City uses the same services.

Power of attorney — the form at notary.kdmid.ru, before you book.
Certified translation — send the translated text to the consulate email in advance.
Russian visa — the application form at visa.kdmid.ru.

Getting there and the day itself

Ho Chi Minh City is 300 km and 6–8 hours by bus; reception ends at noon, so people travel the evening before.
Da Nang is over 600 km of mountain road: worth it only if you are on the coast anyway.
The emergency line is for emergencies, not for questions about booking.
