a matcha latte
Matcha here is not an add-on to the coffee, it is the whole point: the matcha list alone runs to eighteen drinks, from a plain latte to matcha with coconut water, cantaloupe juice, soda and yuzu. The powder comes in two grades — standard Vietnamese and a premium one for a surcharge — and the menu carries a chart of how they differ in colour, bitterness, astringency and umami. The building matches: a half-timbered front with a tiled roof and an arched entrance, dark beams and paper screens inside, a raised tatami platform with low tables and cushions, and along the wall a dry garden of white gravel, stepping stones and a bamboo screen. There are ordinary armchairs by the window too, if sitting on the floor is not for you.
Worth knowing. Open 08:00 to 22:00 daily. Prices from the menu photographed in August 2026, in thousands of ₫. Matcha: the house latte on fresh milk 60, the cold-whisked one on rice milk 65, the other eighteen drinks at 65 — with salted cream, pumpkin or corn milk, coconut and star fruit, artichoke tea, caramel, salted egg yolk; matcha with Bailey's and tiramisu sauce 80. Houjicha: on milk 65, with chocolate and Bailey's 80. Coffee: black 50, with condensed milk 55, bac xiu, americano and latte at 60, with caramel or egg cream 65. Tea on fruit and flower infusions — six kinds at 65. Food: a plain croissant 40, with chocolate and almonds, caramel banana, strawberry or matcha and red beans 50, with salted egg yolk 55; croffles 55–60; tiramisu and burnt cheesecake at 50, nama chocolate 55. The premium grade of powder costs 10,000₫ extra on any drink.
Careful. The list is long but not all of it is available: on our photographs two items are covered with a «sold out» sticker. The main seating is the tatami platform — low tables and cushions on the floor, which does not suit everyone, and there are only a few ordinary armchairs. Coffee is on the menu, but this is not what the place is for: for a cup from someone's own roaster, go elsewhere.
